At Ryan Rush, DDS, we always aim to provide you with a positive experience. So, we are thrilled to tell you about Deka CO2 laser dentistry, which is changing the way we perform certain procedures and making treatment more comfortable and efficient for our patients.

Here are some of how your Fort Collins dentist is using the Deka CO2 Laser.

Periodontal Treatment

Dental lasers now play an integral role in treating advanced periodontal (gum) disease. The dental laser can comfortably remove infected or diseased tissue precisely and without harming healthy gum tissues. The dental laser also eliminates the need to cut gum tissue with a scalpel. Because the dental laser sterilizes the area it works in, it promotes and accelerates the healing process.

Managing Soft Tissues

Sometimes, soft tissues can impair one's ability to eat, chew, or speak easily. In the past, those tissues would need to be cut or removed during surgery. The dental laser uses concentrated light and heat to remove those tissues without cutting or stitches, making the procedure much more comfortable and easier for our patients to heal.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Rush can also use our Deka CO2 laser for cosmetic treatments like gum contouring. This procedure removes excess gum tissue around teeth and helps define tooth shape and length for a more beautiful and symmetrical smile.

What Are the Benefits of The Deka CO2 Laser?

We are excited about the benefits the dental laser provides our patients, such as:

  • Reducing pain and swelling during procedures
  • Accelerating recovery times
  • Reducing complications during procedures
  • Protects healthy tissues
  • Reduces recovery time
  • Sterilizes the treated area to prevent infection
